Cheer
Gymnastic and Cheerleading Academy of Connecticut (GCA) will be offering a Cheerleading program along with our Gymnastic program. Recreational classes and All Star Teams will be available for ages 4 through 19 years. Cheerleaders will work on the following skills: motions, jumps, tumbling, stunts, dance, and cheer.
Flexibility, strengthening, conditioning, and endurance are the four key elements that will be incorporated in the cheerleader's workout. All Star Teams will be involved in competitions locally and out of the area. Recreational classes will have an end of the year performance to show off the skills that they have acquired throughout the year.
Intro to cheerleading is a fun and dynamic way for children to develop dance and stunt skills and improve their overall fitness in a non-competitive arena.
Safety is our number one priority when working with all of our athletes. Our cheerleading coaches are experienced and well–qualified to spot and train our cheerleaders at all levels. Our coaches will insist on safety practices at all times.
