Jane Marella has been working with children in gymnastics and cheerleading for the past 16 years. She was a gymnast in her youth and a Cheerleader at Southern CT State University. Beyond coaching, Jane has a Master’s degree in elementary education and is a certified teacher. Jane has coached toddlers to high school age in gymnastic for 16 years. Her experience is with both recreational and competitive gymnasts. Jane has coached every level of Pop Warner cheerleading, High School Junior Varsity and Varsity cheerleading for the last 10 years. She has served on the Pop Warner Board as Cheerleading Coordinator for 5 years and she has been named Coach of the Year and Coach of Excellence for the High School FCIAC region for the 2008-2009 High School Cheerleading Season.
Craig Bayer

Women's Head Coach
Craig Bayer is originally from Rochester, New York, but has spent the last 10 years in
Eugene, Oregon, working at one of the oldest and most prestigious gymnastic schools in the nation. For the last 5 Years, Coach Bayer has been the backbone for one of the most successful girls’ gymnastics teams in the Northwest and instrumental in the excellent safety record that the team has had for the last 10 years.
Coach Bayer has helped to produce some of the best gymnasts in the country, including
numerous state and regional all-around champions, as well as level 9 and 10 national
champions. He has taken children to Costa Rica, Guatemala and Canada to compete
internationally. Many of Mr. Bayer’s students have gone on to get full-ride scholarships to
division 1 and 2 colleges. In 2009, one of his gymnasts was ranked number two in the
country and is considered one of the best college gymnasts in the nation.
In addition, Coach Bayer holds a Master’s degree in Education. He is a former collegiate gymnast, licensed pilot and scuba diver and when he is on the ground, enjoys martial arts and playing the piano.

Greer Munoz
Pre-team Coach, Gymnastics Instructor
Greer Munoz is a former Level 8 gymnast. She was on the Weston High School Gymnastics Team from 1994 -1998. During all four years of high school gymnastics, Mrs. Munoz was All-American, All-State, Captain and MVP of her team. In addition, she holds a Bachelors degree in Psychology from The University of Miami.
Kristin Mcalarney
Cheerleading Coach, Gymnastics Coach
Kristen has been coaching recreational gymnastics and tumbling classes for the past 4 years. In addition, this is her third year coaching the JV cheer squad at Trumbull High School. As well as being CPR and first aid certified she is CIAC coach certified. Kristen cheered on the Bunnell varsity team, was All-state, and an All-American cheerleader. She was given the opportunity to perform in the 2007 NFL Pro-Bowl Halftime Show. Kristen is currently enrolled at Housatonic and hoping to attend Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing in the Fall 2010.
Gina Aurelia
Gymnastics Coach, Cheerleading Coach
Gina is a former level 7 gymnast and has been coaching gymnastics for the past four years. In addition, she was a varsity, All-State, and All-American cheerleader for Bunnell High School. In February 2007, Gina was given the opportunity to perform in the NFL Pro-Bowl Halftime Show. She is currently a junior at Southern CT State University majoring in Speech-Language Pathology.

Pedro J LeGrand

PJ began his career as a competitive gymnast in Puerto Rico where he made the pre-selection team for the Olympic Trials 1983. He then went on to join the coaching staff of the Puerto Rican Women's National Gymnastics Team specializing in the Balance Beam and Floor Exercises.He earned two 2nd degree black belts in Karate and was the Puerto Rican National Champion in 1984.
PJ has also been a judge at various local and regional cheerleading competitions throughout the area. PJ is certified at the Master Level for the NCSSE for high school, USASF certified to Level 5 by the National All Star Coaches Associate on, and certified by the USAG for Tumbling and Trampoline instruction, women and safety. Also a USAG member. In addition to that he has a Personal Trainer degree for PCDI University and Ashworth University. PJ's philosophy is "Let's have fun". Although the sports of gymnastics and cheerleading both require physical agility and discipline, they can also be very rewarding and enjoyable sports. You can learn and have fun at the same time!
